MP4 (H.264) is supported on every device and platform — iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and all major video editors. Choose MP4 when compatibility matters most.
WebM offers better compression
WebM (VP9/AV1) files are often smaller with the same visual quality. They work well on Chrome and Firefox but may not play natively on older iOS or Windows devices.
